Welcome to Aphor Group, a global leader in music production community building. Our mission is to connect the world with the music it makes. We believe that music has the power to unite and inspire people from all walks of life, and we are committed to creating opportunities for artists, producers, technicians, and other music advocates to come together and create something truly special.
Our founder, Dont'e Carr, is an entrepreneur and creative with decades of recording experience and a composition background dating back to 2000. With a keen understanding of the functions of different compositions and their structures, as well as exceptional knowledge in Apple music production technology, Dont'e is obsessively dedicated to the art, science, and craft of fine acoustics and musicality. From the conception of a musical idea to the performance of the final product, he approaches every project as a unique opportunity to apply new theories and techniques to sound and music, forging the next generation in sound.
Aphor Group was born out of Dont'e's passion for music and his desire to build something that was the leader in all things music, from production to live sound to manufacturing to consulting to sound design. But he knew he couldn't do it alone. He needed a network of skilled individuals who were already running music businesses themselves to ally with the company to accomplish even greater things.
The company originally started as M2M Studios, but it was much less a company than it was a ‘paying passion.’ The studio would provide musical services to Dont'e's fellow classmates, his mother, who is a world-renowned cosmetology entrepreneur, and of course for himself. After the rebranding to MSTRO Music, the company focused on production for Dont'e Carr as an artist to showcase the technical skillset of the company and to make necessary connections.
In 2012, MSTRO Music released its first official project entitled “Too Great for Words” in tandem with a benefit concert that turned into a tour of 3 cities that the company also produced. After moving to Birmingham in 2013, MSTRO Music founded a record label named Limitless Group in preparation for a second release. But with personal life changes, MSTRO Music went from expansion to maintenance, which can be dangerous for such a young company.
With a growing family, a global pandemic, and personal projects, Dont'e decided to pivot the company's focus to where it belonged in the first place, in the background where the company could elevate artists, producers, techs, and other advocates. And so, Aphor Group was born, a global leader in music production community building.
Aphor Group is not just a company; it's a movement. We believe that music is a universal language that can break down barriers and bring people together. Our goal is to create a community where music advocates can come together to think, create, and evolve. We strive to connect the world with the music it makes and to inspire the next generation of musicians, producers, and music lovers.
At Aphor Group, we believe that progress is optional. As the world never stops changing, it's up to us to evolve and adapt. We're committed to creating a dynamic and innovative community that's always pushing the boundaries of what's possible in music production. Whether you're an artist, a producer, or a music advocate, we invite you to join us on this journey to create something truly special.
